Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Ames is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter whose debut album was
produced with Linda Perry. Most recently they created original music for indie feature film I USED TO BE FUNNY (written & directed by Ally Pankiw) as well as a new 1-hour series from SyFy, ASTRID & LILLY SAVE THE WORLD. Their music is also featured in Hulu/Disney+ series HOLLY HOBBIE, now in it's fifth and final season, as well as a short film by writer/director Jill Gutowitz, THE LADIES, premiering at OutFest this year.
After completing the Slaight/CFC Music Residency in 2016, they
worked alongside composer Lesley Barber on the series FOUR WEDDINGS
AND A FUNERAL, and also wrote additional music for feature films including LATE NIGHT and NAPPILY EVER AFTER. They then went on to work with Rob Simonsen and his team on GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE and THE ADAM PROJECT before breaking off onto their own projects.
